L'oeil literally means "trick of the eye" in French. This
painting I did in a very small hallway with two sets of French doors
on either side. The client wanted the effect of an outdoor patio overlooking
a garden. Although the client's decor was French and Jeffersonian I
ended up borrowing from English and Italian gardens for the composition.
Rain Forest Mural This space was commissioned by the Tulsa Zoo
and The Nature Conservancy to raise funds to conserve rainforest in Belize,
Central America. Zoo patrons placed coins in the parking meter. The colored
carpet sections indicate how much rain forest is saved for each coin.
Very fun idea to help increase awareness.
of a mural for a corporate dinner party. The painting is free-standing
(12 feet by 16 feet) and was designed to fit under a stairway as the guests
came in. The guests enjoyed appetizers provided on a small table in front
of the mural. Note: the table cloth pattern was no accident! The client
had picked out the pattern for the actual dinner and wanted the mural
tables to match. (see Chateau painting for settings)
Add a wall
mural to your lobby, waiting room, dental office, corporate headquarters,
restaurant, or a hospital floor. Murals not only create impact, but
they also can help communicate a message through visuals or interactivity.
We also specialize in trompe l'oeil for private homes and businesses.
Scene and set design, too!

Restaurant Mural - Neuschwanstein's Castle (6 x 16 feet). This
was painted for a German Deli Restaurant with a very narrow side room.
By adding a mural the atmosphere of the room was completely changed. The
room now feels more spacious and relaxing.
& River The owner was not sure what he wanted so we spent
a lot of time beforehand just looking through travel books of Italy. This
one struck both of us. I transfered the image to the wall, added some
countryside, and viola! The edging was created by using the original green
wall paint and "fading" the mural into the wall.

Chateau - The Tulsa Philharmonic hosted a fundraiser and commissioned
this mural. The theme was French pastoral. Here a chateau with sheep is
the backdrop for the dinning area. The actual tablecloth pattern was used
in the Picnic mural.
Jr - The Musical set design for a children's theatre company in the Seattle
area. This was fun to do because of the story and bright colors. But also
because I had to design a second show (Urinetown) that performed the same
nights. So the sets had to work for both shows.

with Coral Mural in girl's bedroom. The client's daughter specifically wanted
a coral scene with dolphins. :-) This was fun to do and I loved how the shadows
